About Me

Welcome

I’m Nika Zusin - artist, art instructor, yoga teacher (RYT 200), licensed dance teacher, former professional dancer (contemporary, modern, aerial on trapeze), and choreographer. I am also a co-founder of Waters Way retreats.

My journey into healing work began when my body forced me to stop - spinal surgery brought me to yoga, and yoga brought me back to myself.

For years, I performed, created, and pushed my body to move in ways that amazed others. But somewhere in all that motion, I lost the ability to be still. Through recovery, I discovered something powerful: the practices that healed me - meditation, art, movement, stillness - could help others too. Not as quick fixes, but as pathways back to wholeness.

I teach at Art Center Sarasota and my artwork is represented by State of the Arts Gallery in Sarasota, FL. But more than titles or credentials, I’m someone who understands what it’s like to feel lost, overstimulated, and disconnected. I know what it takes to find your way back.

Zen Doctor is my offering to you - a space where silence isn’t empty, it’s full. Full of possibility, peace, and the kind of healing that happens when you finally stop running and start listening.

My yoga students started calling me “Zen Doctor.” I’m not a doctor, but I do deliver healing - one breath, one moment of stillness at a time.
